Tweets like the one you did today are misleading. This is how "fake news" begins. You either didn't have enough room or you didn't listen to what the Mayor said in total.

At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"
In context, he was telling the citizens that there was no reason to be alarmed BECAUSE of the larger police presence. That is much different than taking out a phrase and tweeting it. His intention was they should feel protected by the larger police presence.
