Will a wall really stop drugs?

Dear Mr. President,

I completely understand that you want a wall and you said you would build a wall. However, is that really best option. I keep thinking of the large catapult that was welded to the wall we currently have.  Who is going to watch the wall after it is built? What kind of deterrent will it truly be? I think I need a more comprehensive plan before I can get on board.

Hello,

I am glad that you recognized that it is Earth Day. I am not sure what you did to celebrate the day, and still you mentioned it so that is a plus.

I am not very interested in hearing about your rallies. There are a couple of reasons. I have asked on many occasions how much it cost the task payer to have one. I imagine secret service alone is a big bill.  I just don’t know why we have to keep campaigning. I would be more impressed with things getting passed through congress.

I hate to keep saying the same things. I would stop saying them if you would do something about it!

There was much pomp and circumstance today. You were well received and well behaved. I am not certain how much of the speeches and events were just for show, and the optics were great.

I was impressed with the steady statement of “God Bless America”. You certainly made a strong statement about Iran.

Today is probably one of your most “Presidential” days. That is good news.

Hardened Attitude

Today when I heard about the shooting in Alexandria, I was shocked with knee jerk reaction. I hope if anyone read this they will read it to the end and so they understand. The first thing I thought and even verbalized was “Why are they practicing baseball? Why aren’t they taking care of business?” My husband was irritated. “Normally, I would say something like that. What’s wrong with you? It is for a charity.”

That shook me back to my senses. People were hurt. There was some senseless act of a deranged person and I just wanted them to be a work. I have become hardened.

I do want to know if the person who asked if it was Democrats or Republicans practicing was the shooter or not. I guess that will have to wait until the evening news.

It really is becoming common place. I find myself not even paying attention to the reports. I am not proud of this. This is really not a good thing.  I know things didn’t go well for those in Paris. But I not even shocked any longer. I tend to just shut down and listen to music. I don’t want to deal with it.

I was glad to hear that you want to use  American labor and American steel. I was really sad to see that the hats at the event I went to during your campaign, were not American made. Glad you expect more of everyone else.
