Thowing Money at a Problem

June 1st

Dear President Trump,

I am a firm believer that throwing money at a problem rarely works. Someone gets paid and problems do not often get solved.

The past few days there has been much speculation about leaving the Paris Accord. Today it was made official.

Nancy Pelosi had this to say on the matter. "President Trump will have a hard time explaining what he is did to the air to his grandchildren, even if they breath air." (Nancy, what would they be breathing?)

I find the hysteria puzzling. As near as I can see the Paris Accord was an agreement with zero accountability.

Every person probably has a bit of greed. I might be tempted to sign an agreement where someone would pay me a billion dollars to promise to do something in 30 years.  ~ Read that again. This is an agreement where we were the ones paying and the ones receiving the money didn't have to make changes for 30 years.

Leaving the Paris Accord doesn't have to mean that we stop being good stewards of the earth. It simply means we are not going to pay other people to be a part of a stupid club.

Sayin' it like it is again,

Trenna
